In an August 2026 earnings call, StubHub's CEO, Eric Baker, refused to provide its success/failure rate for World Cup orders.  It's a stat he certainly knows, yet he danced like Michael Jackson around a straightforward answer.  Why?  Because it was absolutely abysmal, with StubHub allowing rampant speculative ticketing on the site, refusing to provide timely refunds in many cases, and constantly lying to buyers about available tickets and declining to provide any "comparable or better" replacement tickets.  On the seller side, many sellers did everything correctly and have irrefutable proof of timely transfer from FIFA and StubHub, yet StubHub has still taken the opportunity to confiscate their sale proceeds and penalize them without any basis whatsoever.
